Привет всем! Сегодня я хочу показать очередной “шедевр” китайской авторучечной промышленности – реализация морфинга наяву.

Hi everyone! Today I want to show another “masterpiece” of the Chinese fountain pen industry – the implementation of morphing in reality.

Wing Sung 628 (made in China)

Дизайн ручки выполнен в форме классической торпеды или сигары, кому как удобнее называть, из черной смолы напоминающей “драгоценную”, поскольку на просвет светится тем-же темно-красным цветом. Система заправки картриджно-конвертерная, но за основу был взят формат японского бренда большой тройки – Sailor. Колпачок на резьбе, резьба 2х заходная, закрытие/открытие за 1.5 оборотов

The design of this pen is made in the shape of a classic torpedo or a cigar, for whom it is more convenient to name it, of black resin reminiscent of “precious”, since it glows in the same dark red in the light. The filling system is cartridge-converter, but the format of Japanese brand from Big Three – Sailor – was taken as a basis. Cap on thread, 2-start thread, closing/opening in 1.5 turns

Колпачок украшен позолоченным(?) клипом по форме на 98% похожим на клип Montblanc в 146/149 моделях и тремя кольцами аналогичными тем-же моделям за тем исключением что на центральном кольце нанесен текст – WING SUNG 628 MADE IN CHINA – похожим на Montblanc шрифтом.

The cap is decorated by gold-plated (?) clip in the shape of 98% similar to the Montblanc 146/149 clip and three rings similar to the same models, except that the text on the central ring – WING SUNG 628 MADE IN CHINA – similar to Montblanc font .

Перо: стальное перо покрытое материалом золотого цвета, жесткое, 6го, укороченного размера, практически идентичное перу модели Sailor 1911 Standard. На перо по периметру нанесен орнаментальный узор, логотип компании – стилизованная авторучка ручка в мишени, имя бренда Wing Sung и размерность пера F. Перо с пластиковым фидером крепится в секции на трении, ключей в секции никаких нет.

The nib: steel nib coated by gold colored material, hard(rigid), 6th, shortened size, almost identical to the Sailor 1911 Standard nib. On the nib placed an ornamental pattern, the company logo is a stylized fountain pen in a target(?), the name of brand – Wing Sung and the tip dimension F. The nib with a plastic feed is mounted in section on friction, there are no keys in the section for this.

Общие размеры ручки: длина в сложенном состоянии – 141.5мм, без колпачка – 125.5мм. Диаметр корпуса – 12.5мм, а в месте хвата – 10.5мм. Общий вес – 16.8г, а при снятом колпачке – 8.6г (с конвертером 11.9 г).

Overall dimensions of the pen: folded length – 141.5mm, without cap – 125.5mm. The diameter of the body is 12.5mm, and at the grip – 10.5mm. The total weight is 16.8g, and without cap is 8.6g (with the converter 11.9g).

В компьютерной графике и спецэффектах есть такой термин “Morphing”, который означает плавное преобразование одного объекта в другой. Этот спецэффект впервые был применен режиссером Джеймсом Кэмероном в 1989 году в фильме “Бездна”, но более широкое применение получил в фильме “Терминатор 2”, где машина терминатор Т-1000 постоянно трансформировался из одного облика в другой. Еще одно яркое применение этого эффекта можно увидеть в финале клипа Michael Jackson – Black Or White (1991) года. Да, к чему я все это?:) Готовя вчера фотографии к посту я решил сделать сравнительные фотографии с подобными ему инструментами и термин “Morphing” как нельзя лучше объясняет его форму – это промежуточное состояние при морфинге между Sailor 1911 Standard и Montblanc Meisterstuck 147(146)!!! (смотрите фотографии ниже в апдейте)

In computer graphics and GFX there is such a term “Morphing”, which means smooth transformation from one object into another. This special effect was first used by director James Cameron in 1989 in the movie “The Abyss”, but was more widely used in the movie “Terminator 2”, where the T-1000 terminator machine was constantly transforming from one people to another. Another dramatic use of this effect can be seen in the Michael Jackson music video – “Black Or White” (1991) in final part. Yes, why am I all this? 🙂 While preparing photos for the post yesterday, I decided to take comparative photos with similar tools and the term “Morphing” explains its shape as well as possible – this is an intermediate state when morphing between Sailor 1911 Standard and Montblanc Meisterstuck 147 (146) !!! (look at photos below in the update)

Хотя в целом ручка в руке ощущалась цельной, но из коробки перо было сильно пережато и это  требовало соответствующего вмешательства. После настройки ручка была проверена в работе.

Although in general the pen feels solid in the hand, but nib tines was pinched from the box and this required tunning. After adjusting, the pen was fully tested.

Ширина линии прямой стороной составляет – 0.3мм, а обратная сторона дает линию немного более прозрачную с шириной – 0.2-0.25мм. Я уже не помню насколько остро или гладко писало перо из коробки, но сейчас оно пишет как “масло масляное”.

The line width by the right side is 0.3mm, and the reverse side have a slightly more transparent line with 0.2-0.25mm. I don’t remember how wrote nib from the box (sharp or smooth), but now it writes as “butter oil”.

В итоге: я уже неоднократно писал что в принципе я не уважаю такое 100% клонирование и оно никак не украшает компанию стремящуюся попасть на мировой рынок. Не смотря на то что после настройки ручка пишет очень хорошо я могу высказать ряд претензий:). Самая главная моя претензия касается пера: а) некрасивое с неглубоким рельефом; б) материал(толщина) желтого покрытия очень тонкий и практически может стереться даже от салфетки(реально); в) материал твердосплавной напайки существенно мягче чем напайки младших моделей брендов и даже чем напайки Jinhao X-159/450/750. Вторая моя претензия к некоторым элементам которые мне показались хлипковатыми: г) пластиковая резьба секции в отличии от стальной на японских Sailor 1911, к тому же нет резиновой прокладки тормозящей раскручивание корпуса; д) мягкая конструкция клипа даже в сравнении с клипом Sailor 1911, не говоря уже о Montblanc Meisterstuck 146/147. Из положительных моментов можно отметить то что ручка выглядит красиво, по крайней мере на начальном этапе пока она новая, и недорогая (около 20$). Возможно кого-то заинтересует что данная модель может поставляться и с золотым 14К пером, правда стоимость ее возрастет до 85$ акционной цены (стартовая цена на Алиэкспресс заявлена аж 170$!!!! что превышает даже стоимость оригинала Sailor 1911 Standard). Изначально я заинтересовался этой моделью как донором деталей для Sailor 1911 Standard, потому что как вы знаете, запчасти к инструментам Sailor купить просто негде, но и тут меня ждало разочарование – совместимости нет. Резьбы корпуса, секции и колпачка не совместимы. Последняя надежда состояла в совместимости пера и фидера, но и тут ждало разочарование – разница в диаметре составляет 0.1мм из за чего фидер Wing Sung в секцию Sailor вставляется с большим трудом – вставить его конечно его можно при большом желании, но точно в моем случае в этом нет необходимости:). Нужна ли вам такая ручка или нет, решать только вам:).

At the end: I have repeatedly written that, in principle, I do not respect such 100% cloning and it does not good affect to the company which want go to world market. Despite the fact that after adjustment the pen writes very well, I can say about some cons :). My main complaint concerns to the pen: a) ugly nib with shallow relief; b) the material of yellow plated is very thin and can practically be erased even by a napkin (really); c) the material of tip is much softer than tip of the cheap branded world models and even than tip of Jinhao X-159/450/750. My second complaint is about some elements that seemed to me flimsy: d) the plastic section thread, unlike the steel on Sailor 1911, besides, there is no rubber O-ring that inhibits the unscrewing body; e) soft clip construction even compared to the Sailor 1911 clip, not to mention the Montblanc Meisterstuck 146/147. On the positive side, the pen looks nice, at least initially while it is new with inexpensive (about $20US) costs. Perhaps someone will be interested, this model can also be complete by gold 14K nib, although its cost will increase to $85US as promotional price (the starting price on Aliexpress is declared as much as $170US!!!! which even exceeds the cost of the original Sailor 1911 Standard). Initially, I became interested in this model as a donor of parts for the one of my Sailor 1911 Standard, because as you know, there is simply no place to buy spare parts for Sailor pens, but here I was disappointed – there was no compatibility. Body, section and cap threads are not compatible. The last hope consisted in the compatibility of the nib and feed, but even then disappointment awaited – the difference in diameter is 0.1-0.15mm, which is why the Wing Sung feed is inserted into the Sailor section with hard friction. Of course I can insert this feed if is really need, but in my case, in this is not necessary :). Whether you need such a pen or not, it’s up to you to decide :).

А вот еще одна загадка китайских инженеров: компенсационный шарик от “залипания” чернил, который просто не держится в конвертере и свободно вываливается с непонятной конструкция(ключ?), которой я так и не смог найти применения:).

And here is another mystery of Chinese engineers: a compensation ball for ink “sticking”, which simply does not hold in converter and freely falls out and incomprehensible tool (key?), which I could not find any use :).

ps: спасибо моим читателям, оказалось что это “Инструмент для настройки прорези пера” 🙂 – однако я не совсем понимаю как можно настроить тонкую прорезь “лопатой” толщиной 0.25мм(!!!). Более того этот инструмент китайцы продают еще и отдельно стоимостью $3US.

ps: thanks to my readers, it turned out that this is the “Pen slit adjustment tool” 🙂 – however, I do not quite understand how it can be adjusted by “shovel” 0.25mm thick (!!!). Moreover, the Chinese also sell this tool separately for $ 3US.

In conclusion, traditionally a test sketch, and today it is Paul David Hewson, aka Bono – the frontman of the legendary band U2.
