Hey there! After several, on my opinion, fun and interesting ideas that do not directly touch writing tool, that is, they do not actually write, but in one way or another relate to the theme of fountain pen writing, I decided to create this post in which I will share these my ideas. Comments and feedback, as always, are welcome.

2025 year-end results in this part

When is need to quickly clean a modern C/C fountain pen from latest ink, it’s a real adventure, especially when you need to clean from modern sheening or shimmer ink. So I decided to create a system of replaceable plugs for the bulb’s cleaner for quick clean and to be honest, I was once again surprised why no one else had come up with this before me (or maybe I just didn’t see it).

Коли треба щвидко промити сучасну C/C ручку від старих чорнил це прям ціла пригода, особливо як що треба вимити сучасні чорнила із відблиском чи бласкатками. Тож вирішив створити систему змінних кінчиків до груші для швидкої промивки і чесно кажути в черговий раз здивувався чому ніхто інший до мене цього не вигадав (а може я просто не бачив).

Plugs to Bulb’s Cleaner for popular filling system formats (made in Ukraine) / 21.12.2025

Насадки хробив для самих популярних C/C систем: Platinum, International, Sailor та Pilot. Довгі насадки Sailor та Pilot обумовлені глибокими посадками деяких моделей таких як KOP та Myu, Глибокими системами International, такими як Montblanc Traveler 147 та Pelikan/Porsche Design  Ductus я зневажив.

I have made plugs for the most popular C/C systems: Platinum, International, Sailor and Pilot. The long Sailor and Pilot plugs are due to the deep fit of some models such as KOP and Myu, I have neglected the deep International systems such as the Montblanc Traveler 147 and Pelikan/Porsche Design Ductus P310x.

Added two forgotten formats: Lamy and Parker/Aurora and holder for all plugs.

Присвячується прихильникам перових ручок та велосипедного хобі:)). Безперечно ідея потребує вдосконалення (і вже маю деякі ідеї), але, на мій погляд, вона життєздатна. Коментарі, як завжди, вітаються.

Dedicated to fountain pens lovers and cycling hobby at one time:)). The idea definitely needs improvement (and I already have some ideas), but, in my opinion, it is viable. Comments, as always, are welcome.

Так підставка працює із ручками кишенькового та середнього розміру.

This is how this stand works with pocket and medium-sized pens. 

Попри високу конструкцію, підставка доволі стійка, але за для більшої стійкості можна зробити п’єдестал.

Despite the tall design, the stand is quite stable, but for greater stability, you can make a pedestal.

Наразі ковпачок виконує 2 функції, власно як ковпачок і як подовжувач корпусу за потреби.

Currently, the cap does 2 functions, as a cap itself and as body extension if it needed..

Також зробив деякі коригування в дизайні та трохи вдосконалив, а саме зробив проточку та вбудував ущільнювальне кільце із тестової пробірки.

I also made some adjustments to the design and improved it a bit, namely making a groove and insert an O-ring from the other test tube cap.

Часу перевірити ще не було, але принципово нічого не змінилось, тож я гадаю воно працює))

Ink Sample Section to JoWo #6 nib unit (draft prototype as idea) / 14.11.2025

Звісно що майже жодної переваги пере занурюванням пера майже нема, хіба що після занурювання, перо та фідер занадто вологі порівняно із звичайним письмом і ще інколи дуже складно використати залишки чорнил у пробірці за звичайного використання.

Of course, there is almost no advantage compare to dipping nib, except that after dipping, the nib and feed are too wet compared to usual scenario writing and it is sometimes very difficult to use the last drop in the tube during normal use..

Fountain pens “lego”:))

Загалом не так лячно як може намалювати уява, і навіть доволі комфорно, співставно із кишеньковою ручкою. Звісно зо можна вдосконалити, типу подовжити корпус, навіть зробити ковпачок на терті, але навіщо? :)) Надягнув, протестував чорнило (~ 30-40 сек до подачі чорнил на кінчик), зняв і промив.

Overall, it’s not as scary as one might imagine, and even quite comfortable, comparable to a pocket pen. Of course, it can be improved, like lengthening the body, and even making a cap on friction, but why? :)). Open, testing ink (~30-40s for flow ink to the tip), remove and clean, that’s all.

The design of the section was taken from my own design of the AL Classic model.

Звісно що я протестував і переконався що все працює. Із можливих доробок, бажано встановити ущільнувач O-Ring із ковпачка пробірки у нову секцію, і ще можливо більш точно вирахувати діаметр внутрішньої пробки щоб вона щільно заповнювала простір пробірки, але для цього треба друкувати додаткові тестові екземпляри тому я відклав це на потім.

Of course, I tested and made sure that everything works fine. Of the possible improvements, it is desirable to install the O-Ring seal from the tube cap in this new section, and it is also possible to more accurately calculate the inner tube diameter so that this plug tightly fills, but this requires printing additional test copies, so I postponed it for lat.

International cartridge Container as Keychain (draft prototype as idea) / 02.08.2025

Після вчорашнього брелока перового вузла JoWo та ранішої кришки до картриджа international, вирішив зробити корисну брелоку у формі майже Pocket Pen в яку можна сховати запасний картридж та постійно носити із собою на будь-який випадок.

After yesterday’s JoWo NU keychain and earlier international cartridge hole plug, I decided to make a useful keychain as small fountain pen design in which you can hide a new(spare) cartridge and always carry it with you for any occasion.

Треба було відправити підписнику на пробу чорнило, але його було так мало що не було сенсу відправляти в пробірці, тож зробив пробку на картридж. Тестування пройшло добре транспортною компанією на відстані 450 км..

I had to send a one follower some ink for testing, but it was so small that it didn’t make sense to send it in a sample vial, so I made a cartridge hole plug. The testing went well with a transport company over a distance of 450 km (no any drop of leak).

Жодної корисної функціональності, просто брелока із можливістю хизуватись пером  як відзнакою до належності до суспільства прихильників перових ручок.

No useful functionality, just a keychain with the possibility to mount a true nib, a badge of belonging to the community of fountain pen fans.

Жодної корисної функціональності, просто заглушка на у вигляді пера джо будь-якого кстомного корпусу.

No useful functionality, just a section hole plug in the form of JoWo #6 Nib Unit for any custom body.

Трохи пізніше придбаю акрилову фарбу срібного чи золотого кольору та спробую пофарбувати поверхню пера.

A little later I will buy some silver or gold acrylic paint and try to paint the surface of the nib.

Не питайте “навіщо?”, просто закортіло це зробити. Чорновий прототип заглушки блоку пера JoWo #6 у секцію кастомного корпусу пір’яної ручки та брелока, в який можливо встановити навіть справжнє перо. Вважайте це як аксесуар для шанувальників пір’яних ручок, як запонки у вигляду пера, або брошка чи тримач для краватки.

Don’t ask “for why?”, just wanted to make it:)). A draft prototype of the JoWo #6 nib unit as hole plug for the section of custom fountain pen body and keychain in which can be mounting the real nib or not. Think of it as an accessory for marks as fountain pen fans, like a FP cufflinks, or FP brooch or FP tie holder..
