This is a small pen from the first half of the last century from a world-famous brand, although not as well known by its own name.

Це маленька ручка першої половини минулого сторіччя від всесвітньо відомого бренда, хоча за власною назвою не настільки відома.

Minerva Classic Junior size/ Omas production (made in Italy) ~1934+

Дизайн ручки має риси свого часу та характерну сходинку для дизайну бренду Omase за різбленням на корпусі. Корпус виготовлен із целлулохду чорного коліру, ковпачок має кліп другої ітерації “лопатка”. Система заправки — важильна. Ковпачок на різьблені в 3 нитки, закриття/відкриття за 1 та 1/4 обертів.

The pen design has the features of its time and the characteristic step on body after thread to Omase brand design. The body is made of black celluloid, the cap has a clip of second iteration, named “shovel”. The filling system is lever-filler. The cap on thread with 3-start, closing/opening in 1 and 1/4 turns.

На корпусі. розташовано: Minerva Marc. Dep., але більш цікавою виглядає фідер який у задній частині має нетиповий виріз, і до речі цілих 3 чорнильних канала. Також звіст секції не гладкий що типово для того часу, а має разіальне ріфлення

Перо: золоте, маленьке, але просто чудове та гнучке, На перо нанесено: Minerva, 585 та 1.Qualita, що цілком відповідає дійсності:).

The nib: a solid gold, small, but outstanding pleasure and flexible, The nib is marked: Minerva, 585 and 1.Qualita, which is quite true :).

Overall pen dimensions: folded length is – 111 mm, without cap – 99 mm. The diameter of the body is – 11.15 mm, at the grip – 8.1 mm. The weight of folded tool is – 13 g, without cap – 8 g .

Хвилинки історії:
Походження бренду Minerva точно невідоме, але, виходячи з датування відповідних моделей Omas яки були ідентичні моделям Minerva, можна припустити щл це сталось наприкінці 20х та початку 30х. Моделі Minerva від Omas відрізняли написи на корпусі «Minerva» та «Marc. Dep.» у два рядки. Офіційно торгова марка була зареєстрована у 1934 році. Згодом кульовий затискач був замінений на затискач із лопатоподібним кінцем, який почав використовуватичя починаючи з моделі Minerva Classica 1934 року. Minutes of history:
The origin of the Minerva brand is not exactly known, but based on the dating of the corresponding Omas models, which were identical to the Minerva models, it can be assumed that it occurred in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The Minerva models from Omas were distinguished by the inscriptions on the case “Minerva” and “Marc. Dep.” in two lines. The trademark was officially registered in 1934. The ball/drop clip was later replaced by a clip with a shovel-shaped end, which began to be used starting with the Minerva Classic model of 1934. Later, the flat tops also were replaced with more optical ones on the Minerva Elliptical model. During this period, imitation Parker Thrift Time were also produced under the Minerva brand, which were essentially identical to the original, except for the “shovel” clip and different colors of celluloid with the Minerva and Marc. Dep. markings on the body. The Minerva Classic line remained in production until the 1940s, while the Minerva brand itself existed through the 1950s and 1960s, culminating in the Minerva 60 model with a piston-filler system, at the beginning made of celluloid and later of plastic. No models are known from the late 1960s, so it can be assumed that this sub-brand was closed.

Ця ручка була мені надана на заміну сака та налаштування пера. Після всіх робіт ручка була протестована.

This pen was given to me for sac replace and nib adjusting. After all the work, the pen was tested.

Товщина лінії прямою стороною становить 0,3 мм, натиск збільшує цю лінію аж до 1,5 мм. Зворотний бік пише шириною 0,2 мм.

Ordinary line width by right side is 0.3 mm; pressure increases this line up to 1.5 mm. The reverse side writes with width about 0.2 mm.

В решті: це дуже маленька і не зовсім зручна навіть для середньої руки ручка, але перо просто чудово-пречудове, з таким пером можна міритись із розміром. Прихільникам гнучких пер дуже раджу, через те що цей бренд мабуть коштує дешевше ніж аналогічний Омас, але за якістю вражень від письма нічим не поступаеться.

At the end: this is a very small and not very comfortable pen even for an average hand, but the nib is just wonderful, you can measure yourself with such a nib in small size. I highly recommend it to fans of flexible EDC writing, because this brand is probably cheaper than the similar Omas, but in terms of writing quality impressions it is in no way inferior.
