Привіт всім! Незважаючи на таку провокаційну назву, я звичайно не хочу протиставляти ескіз малюнку, швидше просто хочу показати різницю матеріалів при різних інструментах. Я давно хотів показати наскільки відрізняється характер лінії на хорошому “художньому” папері та “звичайному” (офісному), на яких заведено робити повсякденні записи.

Hello everybody! Despite such a provocative post header, I certainly do not want to compare and contrast sketch to drawing, rather, I just want to show the difference in materials with different tools. I have long wanted to show how different the character of the line is on good “artistic” paper and “ordinary” (office) paper, on which it is customary to make everyday notes.

Взявшись за чергове замовлення, я вирішив зробити попередній ескіз залишками чорнила і ручкою з останнього огляду. Не подумайте що це звичайна ручка, це дуже хороша ручка з відповідним тонким пером, а ось чорнило ще мені було незнайоме і я, поки на жаль, не знаю їх властивостей світлостійкості (останній пост про світлостійкість можна подивитися тут).

Having accepted the next order, I decided to make a preview sketch with the rest of the ink in pen from last review. Do not think that this is an ordinary pen, this is a very good pen with a good thin line from nib, but the ink was still unknown for me and I, alas, do not yet know their properties of fadeout (last post about fadeout ink test you can find here).

Не знаю наскільки доречним є порівняння в такому розмірі фотографії, але для статистики та одночасного візуального сприйняття наводжу і таку фотографію.

I don’t know how appropriate a comparison is in this size of a photograph, but for statistics and visual one-time comparison, I post mixed photo.

А ось, власне, те, що представляється більш цікавим – характер ліній на різному папері.

But, in fact, what seems more interesting is the character of lines on different paper.

Гарні матеріали це як друк фотографій великим форматом – так – вони красивіші, так – вони більш вражаючі, так – вони інформативніші і так – вони, природно, дорожчі. Я не хочу сказати що папір Double A поганий, ні він хороший як для повсякденного паперу, але є папір набагато краще:). Хочете отримувати задоволення кожен день від свого пера, тоді доведеться витрачатися на гарні матеріали, на кожен день.

Good materials are like printing photos in large format – yes – they are more beautiful, yes – they are more impressive, yes – they are more informative and yes – they are really more expensive. I don’t want to say that Double A paper is bad, no, it’s good as for everyday use paper, but there is much better paper :). If you want to enjoy with your fountain pens every day, then you will have to spend on good materials for use.

«Очі» Азовсталі – Дмитро Козацький, пресофіцер полку «Азов». Після повномасштабного вторгнення рф, захищав Маріуполь від російських загарбників. Документував війну. Саме його фотографії з оточеної Азовсталі розлетілися по всьому світу. Чотири місяці «Орест» перебував у російському полоні. 21 вересня, разом із 214 українськими захисниками та захисницями, повернувся додому. Його світлина «Світло переможе» стала однією з кращих у 2022 році за версією газети «The Guardian» та була обрана до списку «100 найкращих фотографій 2022 року» за версією журналу «Time».

“Eyes” of Azovstal – Dmytro Kozatskyi is a press officer of the “Azov” regiment. After the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, he defended Mariupol from the russian invaders. Documented the war. It was his photos from surrounded Azovstal that flied all over the world. “Orest” was in russian captivity for four months. On September 21, together with 214 Ukrainian defenders, he returned to home. His photo “The light will win” became one of the best in 2022 according to the Guardian newspaper and was selected for the list of “100 best photos of 2022” according to the magazine “Time”.
