Hello everyone! Because the previous instruction was not completely clear for some users, I decided to make it clearer and simpler. Usually, the grip angle is required(important) to create an Architect nib, but sometimes it is also required to create an Oblique grind.

Привіт всім! Оскільки попередня інструкція  була не зовсім зрозуміла для деяких користувачів, то вирішив зробити більш зрозумілішу і простішу. Зазвичай кут нахилу необхідний для створення пера Architect, але інколи це потрібно ще для створення пера Oblique.

How to measure own pen grip angle  or What is need to know before make Architect nib

Для простого вимірювання кута нахилу ручки нам знадобиться смартфон із застосунком Partometer та будь-яка ручка. Розповсюджена помилка полягає у тому, що більшість користувачів робить фотографії. із високої точки погляду (із власних) очей, а ще і під деяким кутом спереду. Я розумію що не кожному зручно тримати ручку та одночасно знімати фото, але треба трошки потерпіти або попросити про допомогу того хто поруч, процедура не довга і багато часу не займе.

To simply measure the angle of inclination of the pen, we need a smartphone with the Partometer application and your hand with your any pen. A common mistake is that most users take photos from a high point of view (from own eyes), and also at some angle from the front. I understand that it is not convenient for everyone to hold a pen and take a photo at the same time, but you have to be a little patient or ask someone nearby for help. The procedure is not long and will not take much time.

Тож для правильної фотографії треба розташуватись біля краю стола, взяти будь яку незаправлену ручку та один чистий(краще розлініяний) аркуш, не зошит, не нотатник, а саме один тонкий аркуш. Рука яка тримає ручку повинна бути розслаблена, саме так як ви тримаєте зазвичай ручку, але площина (вісь) ручки повинна бути паралельна площині краю стола до якого ви притиснете свій смартфон. камера смартфона повинна бути максимально низка, ближче до поверхні стола і знаходитись на одній вісі із кінчиком пера. Це буде легко зробити як що аркуш буде мати лінії орієнтовані у бік смартфона.

So, for a proper photo, you need to stand near the edge of the table, take any your unfilled pen and one sheet of paper, preferably lined. (!!) Not notepad, notebook or any thick tool, just one thin sheet. The hand holding the pen should be relaxed, exactly as you usual hold your pen, but the plane (axis) of the pen should be parallel to the plane of the table edge to which you will press your smartphone. The smartphone camera should be as low as possible, closer to the table surface and on the same axis as the tip of your pen. It will be easy to do if the lined sheet will be directed to the smartphone.

На смартфоні запускаєте застосунок Parometer який можна скачати як в AppStore, так і в GoogleMarket. За великим рахунком можна користуватись будь-яким аналогічним застосунком який дозволяє вимірювати кути по фото, зараз таких застосунків доволі багато, все що пов’язано з будівництвом чи вимірюваннями. Процес вимірювання інтуїтивно зрозумілий і полягає у тому щоб пальцем розставити 4 кружечки на екрані, як результат ми отримаємо значення кута. В моєму випадку це 50-51°

The measurement process is intuitive clear and consists in placing 4 circles on the screen by your finger, as a result we will get the value of the angle. In my case it is 50-51°

Як що не зручно одразу користуватись застосунком, то можна спочатку зробити фото, а потім відкривши фотографію на комп’ютері, ноутбуці чи планшеті скористатись застосунком в будь-який момент пізніше, як це зробив я.

PS: Як що ви замовляєте пера у мене разом із ручкою, ви можете не встановлювати застосунок, а просто надіслати мені “правильну” фотографію тримання вашої ручки.

If it is not convenient to use the app immediately, you can first take a right photo, and then open your photo on computer, notebook or tablet and use the application at any time later, as I did.

PS: If you order a pen from me with grind, you can’t download and install the app, just send me a “right” photo of your pen holding.

Update 1:

Які можуть бути наслідки не правильного кута? Самий головний наслідок – вам буде некомфортно писати таким пером, або воно не буде працювати як Architect. Ось приклад:

В наслідок неправильної фотографії виміряний кут буде мати зовсім інше значення.

As a result of incorrect photography, the measured angle will have a completely different value.

51°-44°=7° – і це доволі велика похибка.

Update 2:

Щоб не зробити таку похибку треба розташувати об’єктив смартфона максимально близьким до поверхні стола.

In order not to make such an error, it is necessary to place the lens of the smartphone camera as close as possible to the surface of the table.

PS: Кут для Oblique розраховується так само тільки треба зробити фотографію не збоку, а спереду. Для однієї людини це буде зробити доволі важко, навіть із автоспуском у селфі режимі, тож краще для цього буде залучити друга чи подругу.

PS: The angle for Oblique is calculated in the same way, only you need to take a photo not from the side, but from the front. It will be quite difficult for one person to do this, even with the auto-self-timer in selfie mode, so it will be better to involve a friend for this.
