Hello everybody! It’s Friday and it’s time for some fun. Continuing the theme with fountain pen stands  from “silly and funny things” section.

Вітаннячко! Настала п’ятниця і прийшов час для веселощів. Продовження теми із конструкціями для тримання перових ручок із розділу “безглуздих та кумедних речей”.

Andrew Lensky (Turbo) Snail Pen’s Stands or just DIY plastic construction decor toy-figures (designed in Ukraine)

Обмовившись про відомого персонажа Turbo при показі минулого прототипа підставки-равлика кілька днів тому, я подумав і вирішив чому б, власно, і ні. І створив такий собі міні-конструктор для складання підставки та отримання задоволення від процесу:))

Having mentioned the famous character Turbo when showing the previous prototype of the snail stand a few days ago, I thought about it and decided why not. And I created a kind of mini-constructor for assembling this stand and enjoying the process of own DIY job:))

Не зважаючи на те що частин не так багато(нагадує мені о міні конструкторах із дитинства типу як у Кіндер-сюрпризах), він все одно складається і треба докласти зусиль та отримати задоволення від власноруч зібраної підставки.

Despite the fact that there aren’t that many parts (it reminds me of mini construction sets from my childhood, like Kinder Surprise), it still comes together and you have to put in the effort and get the satisfaction of having assembled the stand yourself.

Assembled it looks like this

Равлик-одинак v 1.0 розрахован на тримання ручки середньо-великих розмірів із діаметром ковпачка 16.5 мм та менше.

The Snail stand v 1.0 (single) is designed to hold medium-large pens with a cap diameter of 16.5 mm or less.

Равлик “Turbo”  v 2.0 розрахован на тримання однієї ручки середньо-великих розмірів із діаметром ковпачка 16.5 мм та менше і двох додаткових середньо-малих (у турбінах) діаметром до 14.5 мм та менше.

The Snail “Turbo” v 2.9 is designed to hold one medium-large handle with a cap diameter of 16.5 mm or less and two additional medium-small pens (in turbines) with diameter of up to 14.5 mm or less.

Зробив дрібну модернізацію: з’єднувальні шпильки зробив окремою частиною, додав усмішку на обличчя, додав місто для неодимового магніту розміром 19 х 9.5 х 3.5 мм для більшої ваги або стабільності на металевій поверхні, збільшив довжину турбін для кращого утримання ручок.

Made minor upgrades: made the connecting pins as separate parts, added a smile to the face, added a place for a neodymium magnet sized 19 x 9.5 x 3.5 mm for more weight or stability on a metal surface, increased the length of the turbines for better holding pens.
