Нещодавно отримав цікаве замовлення на створення секції для перового вузла Bock 380 та корпусу Sailor King Of Pen.

• Вітаю панство! Аварія на хостінге знищила мій останній пост, тому півтора дні інформація була позадоступом, і зараз мені довелось перенабрати цей пост наново.

Custom ebonite Section to Bock 380 nib unit and Sailor King Of Pen body (made in Ukraine)

Оцинівши приблизно розміри оригінальної секції Sailor KOP та перового вузла Bock 380, вирішив що це цілком реалізуєма ідея. Тож взявся її здійснити, але довелось трохи поексперементувати:))

Having estimated the approximate dimensions of the original Sailor KOP section and Bock 380 NU, I decided that this was a completely feasible idea. So I set out to solve it, but I had to experiment a bit:))

В решті вийшло те що і требо, розміри співмісні. Вага секції 2.45г, разом із перовим вузлом та конвертером Schmidt K6 Threaded – 7.5г, а додавши корпус ProGear отримуєм вагу – 14.65г.

At the rest turned out as expected, the shape and dimensions are compatible(same). The weight of the section is 2.45g, together with the 380 NU and Schmidt K6 Threaded converter – 7.5g, and adding the ProGear body we get the weight – 14.65g.

Піздніше розібрав орігінальну секцію і подумав що теоретично можна було б використати оригінальну втулку та гріп, але довелось би зрізати оригінальне резблення і нарізати під Бок 380, можливість така є, але станки стануть занадто тонкі (0.5мм).

Later, I fully disassembled the original section and thought that theoretically it would be possible to use the original bushing and grip, but then need to cut off the original thread and cut it thread under the Bok 380 NU, this is possible, but the this brass wall will become too thin (0.5mm).

Так перовий вузол виглядає у ручці Sailor ProGear King Of Pen. Кільце треба або хромувати, або родувати, або точити із нержавіючої сталі.

This is what the new section and nib looks like in the Sailor ProGear King Of Pen. The ring must be either chrome-plated, rhodium-plated, or made of stainless steel.

Різниця у вазі між секціями декілька грамів, але як що є бажання урівняти вагу то можна зтоньшити задню частину секції до 8-9мм та надіти латунну трубку з латуні діаметром 11мм на частину за різбленням, або відтворити всю частину що з’єднужтся із корпусам із латуні включно із різбленням. Але Сейлор зробив це різблення двозаходним.

The difference in weight between the sections is a few grams, but if there is a desire to equalize the weight, you can thin the back of the section to 8-9mm and put a brass tube with outer diameter of 11mm on the part behind the thread, or recreate the entire part that connects to the body from brass, including the thread. But Sailor made this thread double-lead.

Custom V2.0 ebonite Section to Bock 380 nib unit and Sailor King Of Pen body (made in Ukraine)

Вирішив реалізувати попередню іде. із збільшенням ваги за рахунок металевої втулки.

I decided to little improve the previous design by increase weight adding a metal sleeve.

Теоретично можна ще збільшити вагу продовживши втулку у секцію в яку бкзпосередньо буде вкручуватись перовий вузол, а гріп залишити як накладку, як в оригіналі.

Theoretically, it can further increase the weight by extending the bushing into the section into which the nib unit will be indirectly screwed, and make grip as overlay, as in the original KOP.

Забув зробити додаткове кільце наприкінці секції, але і так, начебто, виглядає добре.

I forgot to make an extra ring at the end of the section, but I think it looks nice without additional ring.

Update 24.05.2026:

In continuation of this project, I received a new request to create an ebonite section for the ebonite Sailor KOP body for use as an eyedropper with original nib unit.

В продовження цього проекту отирмав нове замовлення на створення ебонітової секції для ебонітової Sailor KOP для використання в якості наливайки із оригінальним перовим вузлом.

Оскільки у мене нема ебонітового корпусу я протестував на звичайному Sailor KOP 1911, сподіваюсь секції однакові.

Because I don’t have an ebonite KOP body, I tested it on my regular Sailor KOP 1911, I believe the sections are the same.

Оскільки секція зроблена індивідуально вручну то діаметри підібрани дуже щільно без люфтів у різблення. В задній частині зроблен конічний отвір для кращого стікання чорнил до фідера. Габарити ідентичні із оригінальною секцією.

Because this section is made individually by hand, the diameters are made very tightly without any backlash in the thread. A conical hole is made in the back for better ink flow to the feed. The overall dimensions are identical to the original section.

Як що цього буде недостатньо завжди є можливість використати ущільнювальне гумове кільце на секцію (12х1). Я не перевіряв корпус звичайного KOP 1911/ProGear на герметичність, але за бажанням його можна загерметизувати епоксидною смолою, це не забере багато об’єму.

If that’s not enough, there’s always the option of using a rubber O-ring on section (12×1). I haven’t tested the original 1911/ProGear KOP bodies on tightness, but additionally it can be seal by epoxy in tail part, it won’t take up much volume.

Всі внутрішні розміри зроблені дуже шільно, але хоча оригінальний коллар має ущільнувальне кілце, він всеодно може потребувати додаткової герметізації через канавки для утримання оригінального гріпу від прокручування. Можливо і не потрібно буде нічого ущільнювати додатково, але як що треба то спочатку варто спробувати лише сіліконове змащення, а як що цього буде недостатньо то можна використати силіконовий герметик.

All internal diametres made are very tight, but although the original collar has an O-ring, it may need additional sealing through the grooves on original collar to keep the original grip from rotate. It may not need to seal anything additionally, but if necessary, first should try just silicone grease, and if that is not enough, than can use silicone sealant.
