Hello friends! I have another experiment for the next skill’s step. For quite a long time I was going to try Urushi lacquering, then for some time I planned how best to do it and how can be workspace, and finally I made my own convenient modular lacquering workbench.

Вітаю друзі! Маю черговий експеримент для наступного кроку. Доволі довго я збирався спробувати Уруші лакування, потім деякий час планував як це краще зробити та робочий простір, і в решті решт зробив собі власний зручний модульний верстат для лакування.

Я цілком розумію що можна було піти традиційним класичним шляхом існувавшим багато років, зробити дерев’яні палички на підставці, але ж прогрес не стоїть на місці, то чому не спробувати зробити щось більш зручне, а може, навпаки, помилкове. Складність мого лакування полягає у тому, що корпуси моїх ручок не складаються лише із двох частин, корпусу та ковпачка, тому треба було вигадати як ці частини зручно тримати при лакуванні, а потім зручно сушити між етапами. Але після розробки кількох модульних проектів, до мене прийшла ідея такого от верстата.

I completely understand that it was possible to follow the traditional classical way that has existed for many years before, to make wooden/bamboo sticks in wooden stand, but progress does not stand still, so why not try to do something more convenient, or maybe not:)). Time to show this. The complexity of lacquering my pen is that the my pens do not consist of two parts, the body and cap, so I had to figure out how to conveniently hold these parts during lacquering, and then conveniently dry them between stages. But after make several modular projects, I came up with the idea of ​​such a workbench.

Звісно розміри я робив під власні ручки, враховуючи внутрішній простір, щоб лаковані частини не торкались поверхонь.

Of course, I made the dimensions for my own pens, taking into account the internal space so that the lacquered parts would not touch the other surfaces.

ps: До втілення цієї ідеї лакування мене підштовхнула бракована партія ебоніту яку неможливо було відполірувати то прийнятного стану, тож я вирішив врятувати партію зроблених ручок шляхом різного лакування. Процес досі триває, по закінченню повідомлю о результатах.

ps: I was inspired to implement this lacquering idea by a defective batch of ebonite that could not be polished to an acceptable state, so I decided to save the batch of created pens I had made by applying various lacquers. The process is still ongoing, and I will report the results when it is finished.
